I could feel my heart pounding fast as the taxi I had just alighted from sped away with my bag that had some personal effects and my passport. My passport!! I called out after it but it was too far gone for my voice to even reach. As much as the loss of the beautiful clothes and shoes were painful, what ached the most, was my passport!! And there was no way of getting it back; I didn't know the driver's name as I had not bothered to look at his ID since I could not imagine that upon arrival at my destination I would lose my bag.
