Facebook is one of the largest communities on the web. In fact, it has come to be considered as the internet itself, connecting over 2 billion people to their friends, families, fans etc.
Most people use Facebook to update their loved ones on what is going on with them, what is new and worth sharing and much more.
But for every joyful new job announcement, engagement snap or baby scan, it seems there's a dubious status update with no basis in the truth.
The screengrabs here, which have been circulating online, were all posted by people who decided to tell a white lie or two to impress their followers.
Unfortunately thought, their lies were unsuccessful and they were called out on their Facebook fibs by their friends.
