A Gendarme Officer was reportedly killed in Jakiri Bui Division in the North West Region yesterday, November 6th 2017.
Reports say that after masked men had chased the Students of GTHS Jakiri, soldiers were stationed at different points. These same masked men who were hiding in the bush came out attacked this Gendarme Officer(who hails from the North) overpowered him(since he was alone) then seized his gun and shot him, then fleeing with his gun.
The SDO for Bui has now given a 24-hr ultimatum for the gun to be found and the assailants brought to book
In the photo above you can see the body of the gendarme killed in Jakiri today. This comes days after the Jakiri GBHS was burned down by unknown men.
We are praying the situation doesn't escalate! According to our correspondent, #Jakiri is heavily militarised at the moment.
