Did you know
that the human being is one of God’s weakest creatures, physically? Man cannot
fly like the bird, swim like the fish, run as fast as the hare or the leopard,
he does not possess the acrobatics of a monkey in climbing trees, nor the size
of an elephant, neither does he possess the strength of a lion nor its fangs or
claws. In fact, put man in the jungle and he is faced with many animals that
are seemingly more skillful and powerful than he is and he appears seemingly
helpless.
The one tool that God gave man that has
made him a superior to beings more skillful than he is, is the mind. The mind
is the most powerful tool that man possesses. With it, he has built houses that
are way bigger than he is, cars that run faster than the hare and the leopard,
planes that fly at higher speeds and altitudes than most birds etc. The number
of things man has done with his mind is incredible. He has thrived through hard
times and come out successful because of his mind.
And yet, it is this same mind that limits
most men. You see, a man who is invincible is a man who understands his mind’s
power and uses it. Man you have incredible power. Someone said that ‘if you can
think it, you can be it.’ At some point in history, cell phones were just
science fiction. Today they are a reality. What happened? Some people believed
that they could make the cell phone a reality and went ahead and did it. That’s
how powerful the human mind is when it believes. I have heard stories of people
born cripple who went ahead to break running records.
We are made in God’s image and he is a
believing God; meaning he is a God who believes in what he has thought. He is a
faith God. Now we will talk about faith another time. Faith is the next level
after believing. It is a powerful tool that makes man live in the supernatural
like nothing else. But first, I want to admonish today that we start believing
in something, in you in the power that God has given you, believe that you can
be whoever God says you are and believe in your dreams and most of all, believe
in God. In the book of Jeremiah 29:11 God says ‘I know the plans I have for
you, plans to prosper you and bring you to an expected end’ (paraphrased)
What is that expected end that you wish for?
Is it a job, money, health, abundance, etc.? The first step to it today is to
start believing you can have it and develop that thought pattern, the superior
thought pattern.
Start
believing in yourself and God today because if you don’t believe in something,
you will fall for anything.
