Facebook's founder, Mark Zuckerberg, took to his Facebook account yesterday to announce that safety checks have been activated once more for Nigeria following the bomb blast in Yola, Adamawa yesterday.
After activating safety checks for Paris after the recent terrorist attack that took place there a few days back, Facebook came under a perceived Western bias as critics noted that terrorist attacks in the Middle east, Africa and all over the world, had previously deserved the launch of safety checks. The safety check enables Facebook users to announce that they r still alive after a major crisis in their area.
