"Give me your
tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free."
-
Emma Lazarus, The New Colossus.
So, we credit
Christopher Columbus for his 1492 voyage and Americo Vespucci's 1502 voyage, as
the people to have discovered America (make your argument and pick), but 15,000
years ago (which a very long time before either men), the journey to America
was made via the Beringia land bridge which connected Chukotka, in Eastern
Europe, to Alaska. While the origins of the people who crossed the land bridge
are not known, they became known as the Clovis people when they came to
America, and are the ancestors of Native Americans.
Some of us choose to
subscribe to this version of the discovery of America, while some do not, but
the conclusion from both versions are the same unless you are Native American;
you are an immigrant in the US! And being here before the Statue of Liberty
went up doesn't change a thing. As the online world gets more innovative and
inclusive, so too does it become easier finding a niche, and iMiMatch is doing
exactly that for all immigrants. Tailor-made for immigrants, iMiMatch is an
online social platform that allows people in the US to find, meet, and connect
with others from around their cities, across the US, and all over the world.
Not just in the US
today, but everywhere else in the world, people are trying to get back to their
roots, find their origins, and reconnect to their heritage. There are many ways
now to trace your ancestry and know where you come from, but only on iMiMatch
can you find the people of today. Your lineage leads you to the past and then
back to the present to meet with the people who are your family. iMiMatch
allows you to quickly search, find and reconnect to your loved ones and roots,
via its immigrant-centered platform that is accessible to all.
